If you are looking for cheap glasses of good quality, the Merida Race is an excellent purchase option. What I like about this model is that they are quite spacious and stand out for having a modern “look”.
Another interesting feature? you can stretch its temples (or arms) and adjust them to the size of your face. Below I detail its main characteristics and, if you want to comment on it, go ahead.
Merida Race 3 sunglasses detail
Many cyclists know Merida for its wide range of road, gravel, or mountain bikes. But also, this giant from Taiwan has interesting accessories. Among them, I want to highlight its offer of sunglasses for cycling and that stand out compared to similar models for having a fairly contained price.
Specifically, I have opted for the Race 3 since I like them because they are sunglasses with a wide field of vision and with a very current design. And as you can see, the trend in cycling is to bet on large sunglasses that practically wrap half your face. This aspect makes sense: it allows you to roll with greater security since it has a greater breadth of vision and protection.
As for the fit, these glasses allow you to stretch its temples (or arms) and adjust them to the size of your face. Like all current sunglasses, it has a rubber or silicone bridge on the nose that allows you a good grip even with sweat and increases comfort.
According to the users who have tried them, they are glasses that behave well in fog and heat. This is because it has two openings in the upper part that prevent the glasses from fogging up. This aspect is important in cycling because it is always necessary to keep the lenses as clean as possible.

These sunglasses are light: only 34 grams. Compared to more expensive models, for example the Spiuk Profit (28 grams), or the Oakley Jawbreaker (34 grams), we speak of an almost imperceptible difference.
In addition, they are built with Polyamide (TR90). It is a very widespread material for the construction of glasses frames. Among its characteristics that we must highlight is that it is very flexible and quite resistant.
As for the lenses, it does not come with more spare parts or shades to change them for different light conditions. You can only purchase a model with a white frame and gray or black lenses with colored glass.
For the price, at around 30 euros, the glasses come with a stitched case and a microfiber protection pouch. Not bad for a cheap accessory.
